On Monday June 28, 2021, a collision occurred in Clinton County, resulting in one death and three people being taken to the hospital. The collision occurred on County Road 700 North and State Road 75, according to Clinton County’s Sheriff’s Office. The preliminary investigation revealed that a vehicle traveling westbound on County Road 700 disregarded a stop sign and slammed into the driver’s side of a vehicle heading southbound on State Road 75. According to investigators, the collision caused one driver to be ejected from her vehicle, which resulted in her death. Four children were inside that vehicle; two were ejected from the vehicle as well and were flown by helicopter to a local hospital. The driver of the other vehicle was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision, who was later flown to a local hospital, and her condition is unknown. The collision is still under investigation.
